Nancy Mae Jones

Nancy Mae Vance Jones, 72, of New Cumberland died Monday, July 10, 2017 at her home.

Nancy was the Director of Development at The Harrisburg Academy and later at The Second Mile. A graduate of Uniontown High School and West Virginia University, she enjoyed volunteering at the Salvation Army and taking care of her grandchildren. She was an avid reader and quilter.

Nancy was born June 29, 1945 in Uniontown, PA to the late William E. and Beatrice Mae (Ritchey) Vance.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel C. Jones; three children, Daniel C. Jones, Jr. (Katie Morris) of Baltimore, MD, Susannah H. Jones Lucas (Brian Lucas) of Westfield, NJ, and Aaron W. Jones (Briana) of New Cumberland; a sister, Billie Jane Kelley of Morgantown, WV; and seven grandchildren, Isadora, Estelle, Benjamin, Eleanor, Henry, Samuel, and Gwendolyn.

A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held once arrangements are made.
