Norman J. Borczon, 71, of Lewisberry, quietly passed on Monday, February 27, 2017, at his home.
He retired as a Locomotive Engineer from Conrail and Norfolk Southern Railroad. In retirement, he enjoyed working as a Courtesy Shuttle Driver at Holy Spirit Hospital. He attended St. Joseph Preparatory School and graduated from Gannon University in Erie. He was a member of St. Theresa Parish, New Cumberland and Sousalarm Club. Affectionately known as “Stormin Norman”, he raced in the SCCA Sports Car Club of America for many years. Norman hosted his own SIM Racing online for many years. He earned his wings and was awarded the Private Pilot Ground Force Award from the Harrisburg Jet Center. Norman was a proud published author in the “Astronomy Magazine.”
Norman was born on March 4, 1945 in Erie to the late Joseph and Julia (Zilonka) Borczon. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Stanley Mack.
Surviving are his wife, Therese R. (McDermott) Borczon; daughter, Dawn Ling (Paul) of Queensbury, NY; son, Kingsley Harmer (Colleen) of Etters; sister, Gloria Palmer of Jamestown, NY; brother, Ronald Borczon of Moorpark, CA; and three grandchildren, Tiger, Shelby, and Emily; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Viewing will be from 5 to 7pm Thursday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Friday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland, with the Rev. Michael McFadden as Celebrant.
