Opal L. Rockey

Opal L. (Wary) Rockey, 91, formerly of Lower Allen Twp., Camp Hill, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2017 in Messiah Lifeways, Upper Allen Twp.

She was a retired Claims Adjustment Manager for the PA Department of Labor & Industry, Harrisburg. She loved her cabin in Caledonia State Park and her townhome in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Opal was very generous in gathering her family for reunions on a regular basis where her personality and zest for living inspired everyone with whom she came in contact. She will be dearly missed.

Opal was born in Helfenstein, Schuylkill County, PA to the late Lewis and Mable (Kramer) Wary and was the widow of Donald V. Rockey. In addition, she was preceded in death by six siblings.
She is survived by many nephews and their children who were an integral part of her extended family.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, December 8, 2017 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Viewing will be from 1 – 2 pm Friday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
