Pamela S. Long, 60, of New Cumberland, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 in her residence.
She was a retired, dedicated and long time Unit Secretary for Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp. and a graduate of Red Land High School. Pamela was a member of the New Cumberland First Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed traveling, but her greatest love in life was her family.
Pamela was born in Mechanicsburg to the late Charles and Evelyn (Beaverson) Long. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings Charles Long, Ruth Magaha, Madeline Long and Douglas Long.
She is survived by her daughter Amber Long and her fiancé Christopher McCready of New Cumberland; grandchildren Kelsey and Gabrielle; great grandchildren Bailey and Liliannah; brother Richard Long and wife Marion of Harrisburg; sister Lori Long of Hershey; former sister-in-law Barb Long; nephews and nieces Scott, Jason, Sharla, Angela, Amanda, Ashley, Brittany, Christyann, Kathy and Barb; and 17 great nieces and great nephews. Also, a special thank you to Lisa Jones and family for always being Pamela’s second family.
Funeral services will be held at 6:30 pm on Monday, October 24, 2016 in New Cumberland First Church of the Nazarene 617 16th St. New Cumberland, PA 17070 with Pastor Rob Kazee, her pastor officiating. Viewing will be one hour prior to services Monday in the church. Private burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Fairview Twp.
