Pauline Bogdan

Pauline Bogdan, 90, of Mechanicsburg, previously of Lemoyne, died Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Penn State Holy Spirit Hospital.

She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Camp Hill, where she and Albert assisted the priests with Masses and saying the rosary at several nursing homes. She was an advocate for individuals with disabilities and special needs. She was a past Vice President of the Humperdinck-L-Ettes. Her favorite flower was the sunflower and she had a green thumb and was very successful with house plants and outside gardening. Watching and feeding the birds was enjoyable and relaxing to her. On Sundays, family time was special as everyone loved her great cooking. Her grandchildren were a big part of her life and she loved taking care of them and attending their events. Her home was always open to friends and family. She enjoyed activities, especially playing cards, with her many friends at The Woods where she lived the last few years of her life.

She was born July 11, 1931 in Excelsior to the late Andrew and Olga (Slota) Futchko. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Albert; son, David; sister, Dolores (Honey) Blosick, and brother, Alex Futchko.

She is survived by her sons, Peter Paul Bogdan, II (Debbie) of Dickson, TN and Mark Andrew Bogdan of Camp Hill; daughter, Barbara A. Stetler (Mike) of Mechanicsburg; brother, Fred Futchko of Mechanicsburg; grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew, Erik, Kara, and Olivia; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at 10 am followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am Tuesday, February 22nd at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Camp Hill. Committal will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Upper Allen Twp.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her church or Hospice of Central PA.
