Peter W. Wasco

Peter W. Wasco, 66, of New Cumberland, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 in Harrisburg Hospital.

He was a retired Pursing Agent with Flight Systems Electronics Group, New Cumberland and a Vietnam War Navy veteran. Peter was a longtime baseball coach with the New Cumberland Youth Baseball Association; Past Commander and Life Member of American Legion Post 143, New Cumberland; Past State Commander, PA American Legion in 2011; Past Commander, Cumberland County American Legion; Past Commander, 19th District American Legion; Past Commander, American Legion Central Section; and a member of ANAVICUS and the 40 et 8, Voiture 55.

Peter was born in Manhattan, NY to the late Walter Peter and Ann Rose (Dribnak) Wasco and was preceded in death by a daughter Deanne Wasco.

He is survived by his wife Susan (Weigle) Wasco; a daughter Danielle W. Liebig and husband Rob of Harrisburg; a stepson Daniel E. W. Crater and wife Michelle of North Hollywood, CA; a twin brother Thomas P. Wasco of Harrisburg; a sister Michelle Wasco of Harrisburg; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 am on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Viewing will be from 5 – 6:45 pm Tuesday, May 10, 2016 with an American Legion service at 6:45 pm in the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be at 11 am in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Twp.
