Phillip H. St. Cyr, 69, of New Cumberland, passed away on Memorial Day, Monday, May 30, 2022 in UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg Hospital following a long battle with cardiac disease.
Phil was a graduate of Carlisle High School and earned a B.A. in Accounting from Shippensburg University. He worked in various technology analyst and management roles, primarily with Rite Aid Corporation and Book of the Month Club.
Phil was a devoted member of Trinity United Methodist Church, New Cumberland and was particularly fond of choral music. He enjoyed cooking, and volunteered in the church’s kitchen and a local soup kitchen, as well as provided home-cooked meals to neighbors. Phil also enjoyed games, traveling, and spending time with family. He was handy and self-taught in many forms of craftsmanship, which allowed him to remodel much of his home. Phil loved connecting with people and was joyful when entertaining children.
Phil was born in Kittery, ME, the son of the late Robert Eugene and Violet Rose (Moody) St. Cyr and was raised in Wolfboro, NH. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three of his siblings: Pauline Shunk, Roberta Ritchey and Jeffrey St. Cyr.
Phil is survived by his loving wife of more than forty-five years, Melissa (Long) St. Cyr; their daughter Jill St. Cyr Baker and her family (husband Jason S. Baker and son Rowan E. Baker), as well as two of his brothers, Bruce and Greg St. Cyr.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Monday, June 6, 2022 in Trinity United Methodist Church, 415 Bridge St. New Cumberland, PA with the Rev. Arun Andrews, his pastor officiating. Visitations will be held from 4-6 pm on Sunday in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland and again from 10-11 am Monday in Trinity Church.
