Phyllis Louise Heilig, 92, of New Cumberland, Lower Allen Twp. died Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at her daughter’s home in Lewisberry.
She was a retired Facilitator from Alternatives in Community Treatment, Malvern. Her hobbies included watching football, especially her favorite teams, the Kansas City Chiefs and Penn State Nittany Lions. She also enjoyed seeing competitive ice skating and Dancing with the Stars. Her favorite past times were attending her grandsons’ baseball games, spending time with family and neighbors and flower gardening.
She was born December 19, 1932 in Petersburg, PA to the late Thomas Howard and Mamie Ellen (Pick) Yarnell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Parker Elwood Heilig; son, Stephen P. Heilig; and siblings, Alfred Yarnell, Madeline Williams, Martha Black, Annabelle Miller, Betty Eberhart, Thomas Yarnell, and Donna Jacobs.
She is survived by her children, Kathy Jo Killen (Edward) of Elizabethtown, Natalie Troup (Brian) of Lewisberry, and Robert L. Heilig of Houston, TX; two grandsons, Andrew Hoy and Brian Heilig; a great-grandson, Stephen Heilig; and several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Entombment will follow in Rolling Green Cemetery.
