Randall Alan "Carp" Carpenter

Randall Alan “Carp” Carpenter, 59, of Camp Hill, formerly of Middlesex, passed unexpectedly on Friday, August 10, 2018.

He was a skilled draftsman by trade and worked at his chosen profession for several local firms. Randy was a lifelong resident of Cumberland County. He was a 1977 graduate of Cumberland Valley High School and Cumberland Perry Vo-Tech for College Prep and Drafting, respectively. He was a lover of music (especially new wave and alternative) and played bass in several local bands. He was a racing enthusiast, especially of Formula 1 and the IndyCar Series. His favorite holidays for exterior illumination were Halloween and Christmas and the backyard squirrels and birds are mourning his loss along with their daily chow.

Carp was born June 7, 1959, and was the youngest son of the late Richard Carpenter and Evelyn (Moyer) Carpenter of Camp Hill.

In addition to his Mother, he is survived by his wife Jayne Brinkley and her son, Jason and wife Treina of Camp Hill; a brother Stanley and wife Angela of Mt. Holly Springs; a sister Deborah Bostwick and husband Brett of New Cumberland; and several nieces and nephews.

Early in life he lost a great childhood friend in Mr. Robert Albright but Carp had many other close friends and will be forever missed and fondly remembered by them all.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Viewings will be from 5-7 pm Monday and 10:30 – 11 am Tuesday, both in the funeral home. Burial will be in Tri-County Memorial Gardens, Fairview Twp., Lewisberry.
