Raymond Henry Horner, 94, of Mechanicsburg died Monday, September 1, 2014 at Messiah Village, Upper Allen Twp.
A WWII Army Air Force Veteran he was a retired Carpenter from John Stapf Companies. He was a member of United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local 214, UBC Retirees Club, B.P.O.E. , West Shore, and the American Legion. He was a snowbird having travelled the last fifteen years to North Fort Myers, FL.
He was born January 2, 1920 in Siddonsburg to the late George Franklin and Ellen Anna (Baker) Horner, Jr. He was the widower of Treva Loraine (Kister) Horner.
He is survived by his companion of twenty four years, Shirley Wade of Carlisle; son, Craig B. Horner (Margaret Mary Gorman) of Mechanicsburg; two sisters, Bertha “Jackie” Mae Chomyn of Mechanicsburg and Minnie Evelyn Shutt of Lewisberry; and a grandson, Eric C. Horner of North Carolina.
Visitation will be held at 1pm followed by a memorial service at 2pm Friday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Interment will follow in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
