The Reverend Raymond Whitford Cartwright Jr., 85 of Lower Allen Twp., Camp Hill, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, January 2, 2020, at his home.
He retired from the PA Human Relations Commission after 28 and ½ years of loyal service. Prior to that, he worked for the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development and the Philadelphia Human Relations Commission. Rev. Cartwright was a graduate of Altoona High School; Otterbein University, Westerville, OH; United Theological Seminary, Dayton, OH, and was an ordained minister of the United Methodist Church.
Born on July 3, 1934, in Perryopolis, he was the son of the late Raymond W. Sr. and Sylvia (Little) Cartwright.
Surviving is his loving wife of 46 years, Diane Elizabeth (Basehore) Cartwright; a cousin, Cindi Zimmerman (Lonnie) of Mechanicsburg; nieces, Jo Anne Walchak (Chason) and Denise Wimberly, and great niece, Jaycie and great nephew, Rylan Walchak.
He will be missed by all the people whose lives he touched, never refusing to help anyone. Burial and services will be private.
