Robert C. Edwards

Robert C. Edwards, 82 of New Cumberland, formerly of Wiconisco died Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, Derry Twp.
He was the retired Executive Vice President of the Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs. He also served as Executive Director of Assessors Association of PA, and PA Local Governmental Secretaries Association. He was Past President of the PA Society of Association Executives. He received his BA from East Stroudsburg University and MA from Shippensburg University. He was a longtime member of New Cumberland Borough Council and First Church of the Nazarene, New Cumberland. A respected driving instructor, he enjoyed gardening and volunteering for many community organizations.
He was born June 28, 1933 in Harrisburg to the late Charles Daniel Edwards and Catherine (Labuck) Motz.
He is survived by his wife, Judith A. (Kegris) Edwards; nine children, Marge Sentiwany, Robert (Debbie), Steven (Meighan), Kathleen, Mark, Christian, stepson Michael Potts (Stacey), Lisa (Melissa), and Anthony; two sisters, Yvonne Dougherty and Barbara Rudisill; a brother, Sherman; eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation with family will be from 9:30 until the memorial service at 11 am Friday at First Church of the Nazarene, 617 Sixteenth St., New Cumberland.
