Robert E. "Bake" Baker

Robert E. "Bake" Baker, 79, of Oil City, died Monday, September 25, 2017, in Newberry Twp. at the home of his daughter.

He retired as an Auto Body Mechanic for Stephen’s Auto Body, Seneca; a Navy Veteran; a 1955 graduate of St. Joseph High School, Oil City; a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oil City.
Bake enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors.

Born on November 15, 1937, he was the son of the late Herbert O. and Irene F. (Eiseman) Baker. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Beth Baker.

Surviving are three daughters and their husbands, Nedra A. and Mike Applegate of Lewisberry, Tracie A. and Jeffrey R. Roes of Etters, and Kelly A. and George Williamson of Hummelstown; a son, Robert E. Baker, Jr. of New Cumberland; his very close companion, Karen Hummel of Wampum; two sisters in law, Margaret Baker of Erie and Marian Guckert of Bedford, VA; six grandchildren, Logan M. Kain, Isabelle N. Roes, Garrett L. and Megan A. Williamson, Robert Sowers and Jessica J. Charles; three great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM on Saturday, November 4, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oil City. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Oil City.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 35 Pearl Ave, Oil City, PA 16301.
