Robert F. Kuhnert, Jr.

Robert F. Kuhnert, Jr., 63, of Harrisburg, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 28, 2016 in his residence.

He was a retired sheet metal fabricator with several local HVAC companies in the Harrisburg area. He was baptized and raised in St. Michael Evangelical Lutheran Church, Harrisburg; a 1970 graduate of Central Dauphin East High School, Harrisburg, where he excelled in baseball and football; attended Penn State, Main Campus; and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan.

Bob was born in Harrisburg to the late Robert F. and Dorothy (Sheetz) Kuhnert, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Brian C. Kuhnert.

He is survived by his sister Cheryl A. Smith and husband Ed of Harrisburg; a brother Jeffrey A. Kuhnert of Oberlin; a nephew Eric Smith of Harrisburg; and an uncle, John Kuhnert of Chambersburg.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, March 5, 2016 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland with the Rev. Lawrence E. Hawkins officiating. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to service time in the funeral home. Burial will be in Shoop’s Cemetery Annex, Harrisburg.
