Robert J. Kling, 91, of Camp Hill died Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.
He was a retired Civil Engineer and Bureau Director from PennDOT. He received his B.S. from Bucknell University. A WWII Army Veteran, he fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of the Lutheran Faith and Society of Professional Engineers. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. Most recently he enjoyed mentoring his grandsons.
He was born June 1, 1924 in Lewisburg to the late Fred Nicely and Bessie Mae (Stover) Kling. He was the widower of Jeanette (Charles) Kling.
He is survived by three children, Deborah J. Tritch of Lewisberry, Fred N. Kling of Hummelstown, and Robin J. Rusatsky of Mechanicsburg; and three grandsons, Matt, Cory, and Tony.
Viewing will be from 5 to 7pm Thursday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland.
Funeral services will be held at 10am Friday at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow at 11:30am in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Assn., Capital Region Division, 1019 Mumma Road, Wormleysburg, PA 17043.
