Robert Michael Curley, age 58, passed away at his home in University Park, Philadelphia. Born in New York City on June 4, 1955, to Judith H. Dahlquist and Robert J. Curley of Camp Hill, he lived in Harrisburg for most of his life before relocating to Philadelphia for a successful career as Senior Director for Special Projects and Methodologies at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine Clinical Research Computing Unit and Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Bridget A. Abbott and her husband, John; niece and nephew, Ellen M. and John N. Abbott, all of New Cumberland; stepdaughter, Dr. Amy Stimpfel and her husband, Scott; many close family members in NY, including his grandmother, Marguerite Curley. He also leaves his beloved Dachshund, Cookie, a rescue dog.
He received his B.S. in Biology from Adelphia University, Long Island, NY and his Masters in Computer Science from Shippensburg University.
Mike participated in many sports over the years including karate, fencing, and scuba diving; recently spending time restoring his historic townhome in Phila.
Visitation will be held at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland on Saturday, April 12th with visitation from 1 – 2:30 PM with services beginning at 2:30pm.
