Robert S. Reed

Robert S. Reed Sr., 65, of Hampden Twp., Mechanicsburg, entered into rest on Thursday, August 21, 2014, at the home of his daughter in New Cumberland.
He retired as an employee of Quakers Oats, Shiremanstown, loved people and helping others. Born in Harrisburg on October 5th, 1948, he was the son of the late Kenneth Sr. and Beverly (Robertson) Reed. He was widower of Rae Ann DeGaetano Reed.
Surviving are a son, Robert S. (Katie) of Mechanicsburg; two daughters, Tina A. Heckendorn (Jim) of Gettysburg, and Lisa M. Reed-Talley (Dave) of New Cumberland; four brothers, Thomas of New Cumberland, Rodney of Dover, Kenneth of Harrisburg and Michael; two sisters, Linda of Mechanicsburg, and Beverly of Dillsburg; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held from 10 – 11 AM on Wednesday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland, with a funeral service following immediately at 11 AM. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.
