Ronald E. "Goodie" Goodhart

Ronald E. “Goodie” Goodhart, 80, of Etters, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017 in Homeland Center, Harrisburg.

He was a retired elevator mechanic with Otis Elevator Company, Harrisburg and attended St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Cumberland. Ron was a member of the International Union of Elevator Constructors Local 59, Harrisburg; Eureka West Shore Lodge 302, Mechanicsburg; Enola Sportsman’s Club; and the Verhovay Home Association, Harrisburg.

Ron was born in Waynesboro, PA to the late George and Helen (Benchoff) Goodhart.

He is survived by his wife Linda C. (Bonner) Goodhart; children, Ronald E. Jr. and wife Elizabeth of New Bloomfield, Craig S. of Harrisburg, Angela L. Bryson and husband Junior of Harrisburg; stepchildren, Michael P. Baker of Dover, Melinda A. Greene and husband Jeff of Park Hall, MD, Marianne Baker-Platt and husband Thomas of Wormleysburg and Lauren A. Casselberry and husband Matthew of Camp Hill; a sister Donna Strawser of Dauphin; and nine grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, January 6, 2018 in St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 530 Bridge St. New Cumberland, PA with the Rev. Sharron Blezard officiating. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
