Ronald L. Bixler

Ronald L. Bixler, 86, of New Cumberland, died Friday, February 13th, 2015, at Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.
He retired from the former West Shore Hardware Store, New Cumberland; was an Army veteran of the Korean War; a 1948 graduate of Mechanicsburg High School and a member of Baughman Memorial United Methodist Church, New Cumberland. Born on December 4th, 1928 in Bowmansdale, he was the son of the late William C. and Helen (Wood) Bixler.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, J. Maxine Gross Bixler; two sons, William E. (Sharon) of Camp Hill, and John E. of New Cumberland; a daughter, Janet L. Bixler of New Cumberland; two grandchildren, Tyler E. and Ryan E. Bixler.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland, with the Rev. Dr. Edwin Green officiating. Burial will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Upper Allen Twp.
Viewing will be held 10 – 11 AM on Friday at the funeral home.
