Ronald Thomas Williams "Pop"

Ronald Thomas Williams “Pop”, 86, of Camp Hill, formerly of New Cumberland, passed away at home with his family by his side on Veterans Day, November 11 – how fitting, a day of remembrance – as all who knew and loved him will always remember him.

He was born April 6, 1932 in Mt Carmel and raised by his grandmother, the late Annie B Palmer. He was preceded in death by his mother, Anna and sister Nancy.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years Sue, who he adored; children, Jill A Krause of Seminole, FL, Gregg R. Williams (Martina) of Camp Hill and Gail N Nornhold (Blaine) of Camp Hill; seven grandchildren, Kelly, Lindsey, Ryan, Kyle, Kolton, Wyatt and Kara; great grandson, Brennan and many nieces and nephews.

He was a Korean War Veteran and retired as a Steel Fabrications shop supervisor with L.B. Smith, Inc. and worked as a mechanic at Paul’s Texaco in Lemoyne. He was a member of Mt Calvary Episcopal Church, Camp Hill. He enjoyed country music, traveling with his wife, the love of his life. They were fortunate enough to travel all over the United States from Alaska to Hawaii and many places in between. They especially loved Branson, MO and the many entertainers that performed there. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid Phillies fan.

The family would like to say a special thanks to the ICU Doctors and Nurses at West Shore Hospital for their excellent care and compassion.

Services will be held Monday, November 19. Visitation will begin at 9 am followed by services at 11 am at Mt. Calvary Episcopal Church. Internment with military honors will follow at 1:30 pm at Indiantown National Cemetery, E. Hanover Twp.
