Russell E. Failor Sr.

Russell E. Failor Sr., 75, of Mechanicsburg passed away peacefully at his home on May 24, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. He was a graduate of the former New Cumberland High School, class of 1956. He was the proud owner of Russ’s Auto & Trailer Sales of Enola for 33 years. Russell served in the United States Air Force Reserves. He was a member of Community United Methodist Church of New Cumberland, Eureka West Shore Lodge #302, F. & A.M., Mechanicsburg, and the Harrisburg Consistory.

Russell enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling with his wife, beach trips with his kids and winning big at the casino.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Failor, sisters, Donna Weber and Paulette Fry, and grandson Ricky Brubaker.

Surviving are his loving wife of 57 years, Joanne (Campbell) Failor; two sons, Russell E. Failor Jr. and wife Cathy of Shermans Dale, and Rick Failor and wife Kelly of Mechanicsburg; a daughter Vickie Brubaker and husband Rick of Mechanicsburg; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; his mother Ruth Failor of Mechanicsburg; three sisters, Janice Blizzard of New Cumberland, Wendy McNiff of Danvers Mass. and Sharon Rich of Carlisle; a brother, Donald Failor of Shermans Dale; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday in Community United Methodist Church, New Cumberland. Entombment will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp. Viewing will be held 6 – 8 PM Wednesday in Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.
