Sally Ann Kern

Sally Ann Kern, 82 of New Cumberland, died Sunday, September 4, 2016, at Homeland Center, Harrisburg.
Originally from Altoona, PA, she was born on March 19th, 1934, the daughter of the late James W. and Marian (Johnson) Pearson. She attended the Harrisburg Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as an RN at ManorCare, Camp Hill, where she held the position of Director of Nursing. Sally was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Lemoyne, for over fifty years where she was active in many different ministries. She also enjoyed traveling the world after retirement.
Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Paul B. Kern; three sons, Timothy P. (Nancy) of New Cumberland, Thomas J. (Bonnie) of Halifax and John P. (Kimberly) of Mechanicsburg; a daughter, Julie A. Biser (Pastor David) of Harrisburg; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Adam Schickley, and a brother, James Pearson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday at Grace United Methodist Church, Lemoyne with the Rev. John L. Shellenberger Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.
Visitation will be held 6 – 8 PM Thursday in Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.
