Sally Wollins, 93, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on the morning of Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at UPMC West Shore Hospital, Hampden Township. She was the daughter of the late Herman and Evalyn (Shulman) Arenson, born on January 11, 1932, in Akron, OH.

Sally earned her doctorate degree in audiology from the University of Pittsburgh, and she would go on to become the director of Polyclinic Hospital’s Speech and Hearing Clinic in Harrisburg. From there, Sally began employment with, and would end up retiring from, the Commonwealth of PA as Program Director with the Department of Health’s Rehabilitation Division.

She was independent and outgoing and a positive example for her two girls. Sally was a longtime member of Kiwanis International, she was an avid reader, and she also earned her private pilot’s license.

Sally’s family would like to especially thank her caregivers from Messiah Lifeways at Home who routinely went above and beyond their duties, including the days leading up to her passing. Sally also struck gold with next door neighbors who always kept a watchful eye on her, helping whenever possible.

Surviving is her daughter, Nancy Lev (husband, Martin) of West Palm Beach, FL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jane Crowley. Per Sally’s wishes, no services will be held. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Rose Hill Burial Park, Akron, OH.
