Salvatore E. "Sam" Spadafore

Salvatore E. “Sam” Spadafore, 85, of Dillsburg died Monday, March 4, 2024 at home with family by his side.  

A graduate of New Cumberland High School, he then joined the Navy where he participated in the Lebanon Operation as a Radioman.  He retired as a salesman.  He enjoyed bowling, poker, golfing, baking:   especially crème puffs, and adored his Chihuahua Maria.

He was born August 20, 1938 in Harrisburg to the late Vincent and Helen (Salerno) Spadafore.  He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Divine Hartman, Olga Dagenhart, and Vincent Spadafore.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy A. (James) Spadafore; children, Carla Ann Snyder (Mark) of Dillsburg, Michael Blackburn, (Shelly) of Dillsburg, Shelley Ivey (Joel) of Swansea, SC, and Gina Spadafore of Palm Bay, FL; grandchildren, Phillip (Becky), Stephen (Erica), Mathew (Hali), Kyle, Mandy, Michael, Jr., Kimmie (Caleb), Abbie, Jonathan, Gracie, and Sammy; great-grandchildren, Maddie, Marysa, Caitlyn, Waylon, Carson, Finnley, Jaxon, Marie, Lachlan, Charlie, and Mason; sister-in-law, Amy Mould; nieces Debbie Haulman and Tracy Spadafore; and other beloved family and friends.  

Visitation will be from 6pm until a Celebration of Sam’s Life at 7pm Friday, March 8, 2024 at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland.
