Sandra Jean Milus

May 29, 1955 — July 30, 2022

Sandra Jean Milus, 67, of Mechanicsburg, entered eternal rest on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Penn State Holy Spirit Medical Center, Camp Hill. Born on May 29, 1955 in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late George S. and Jean M. (Luckzus) Milus.

Sandy was a 1972 graduate of Cedar Cliff High School, Camp Hill, and would go on to earn a degree in court reporting from Central Penn Business School, Summerdale. From there, she would embark on a 40-plus year career with Commonwealth Reporting Company, Camp Hill, where she enjoyed her time working alongside her brother, Craig. She retired at the end of 2019 and, thereafter, occasionally dabbled as a freelance court reporter.

In 1984, Sandy married the love of her life, Stephen Eric Brown. They spent 32 loving and caring years together. She was the consummate hostess at their backyard pool get-togethers. In 2016, Steve passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. After Steve’s passing her focus revolved around being with her family and friends, and she would spend as much time as she could in the sunshine, swimming with her friends at the pool. She was generous, and as an avid shopper, she greatly enjoyed giving thoughtful gifts to those she loved.

Sandy made any situation enjoyable. She was a beautiful, social butterfly with a magnetic personality, making new friends wherever she went with her classic go-to introduction, “Hi, I’m Sandy…. like the beach!” This was all too fitting for a person who loved the shore; she waitressed at various restaurants on Long Beach Island, NJ, as a young lady, and she jumped at any reason to visit the ocean throughout her lifetime.

Sandy will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her, but the memories of the good times, and the love shared together, will live on in our hearts forever.

Surviving Sandra is her brother, Craig Milus (wife, Denise) of Mechanicsburg; an aunt, Dorothy “Dot” Bricker of Mechanicsburg; cousins, Mark Unger of Eugene, OR, and Susan Unger of Dallas, TX; several nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law with whom she remained close, Jenny Nason (husband, Ron) of Mechanicsburg.

A public memorial service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. A visitation will take place from 10AM until services begin in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution in Sandy’s name to the National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org.
