Sharon Marie Chesek

Sharon Marie Chesek, age 70, of New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 17, 2022, in the comfort of her home surrounded by family. Sharon was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to Raymond Theodore and Jane Marie (Lighthiser) Clouser and was the eldest of four daughters.

After graduating from William Penn High School, where she was a majorette, Sharon faithfully served the local community through her work in customer and financial services at Polyclinic Hospital and Harrisburg Hospital (now UPMC) for more than 40 years.

Sharon enjoyed gardening and planting flowers to attract birds and butterflies for her and Tom to watch in enjoyment. She grew up camping with family, dancing to Motown music, and loving all things cute and fuzzy, especially her dogs. She was an avid collector of all things Snoopy. Sharon especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, attending their sporting events, and rooting them on as a loyal fan.

Sharon’s laughter was infectious; she was the most sincere, caring, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a steady and calming presence who will continue to be felt by all who love her.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves behind her loving husband of 50 years, Thomas V. Chesek, her son, Mark (Suzann) Chesek, of Lewisberry; her son, Andrew Chesek (Dawn Miller), of Dillsburg; her daughter, Amy (Dennis) Robinson, of Harrisburg; six grandchildren, Brianna and Dennis Robinson, Jr.; Leah, Lauren, Lexi, and Lainie Chesek; her sisters, Dianne (Jerry) Fairall; Tracy (Greg) Allen, and Shelly (Roy) Sollazzi, all of Harrisburg, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 22, at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Friday, July 22, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Township.

Memorial contributions may be made in Sharon's name to Hospice of Central PA.
