Sharon Sue Culver, 72, of Etters, entered into the Lord’s presence Monday, December 29, 2014 with her husband, in her residence as a result of a house fire.
She was a former telephone operator for Bell Telephone, was a 1960 graduate of Cedar Cliff High School and attended Bible Baptist Church of York. In her life, she served as a Sunday school teacher, church nursery coordinator and coordinator of the lunch program of Bible Baptist School of Shiremanstown.
“Sue” was born in Georgia to the late Sylvester U. and Erma R. (Kinter) Hammacher.
She is survived by her children, Mark A. Culver and wife Cathie of New Cumberland and Rachel S. Leukus and husband Jeffery of Etters; three grandsons, Jacob A. Leukus, Joshua A. Leukus and Luke M. Culver; and two brothers, Dan Hammacher of Camp Hill and Barry Hammacher of New Freedom.
“Sue was a loving and devoted mother, wife, grandmother and loving friend to all she knew.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, January 5, 2015 in Bible Baptist Church of York, 4190 North Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17404. Visitation will be from 5 – 7 pm Sunday in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
