In Loving Memory of Shaun Dennis McNulty May 27, 1946 - December 5, 2024. Shaun Dennis McNulty, a proud Vietnam veteran and gentle soul beloved by all who knew him, passed away surrounded by his family. Born on May 27, 1946, in Harrisburg, PA, Shaun grew up in a close-knit family and graduated from Mechanicsburg High School in 1964.

Following his graduation, Shaun answered the call to serve his country, joining the United States Air Force. He served with distinction during the Vietnam War, rising to the rank of Sergeant from 1966 to 1970. His time in the Air Force instilled in him a lifelong sense of discipline, service, and pride.

After his military service, Shaun embarked on a successful career, first at Westinghouse and later at AMP Inc./Tyco, where he worked for 30 years as a maintenance supervisor. In his later years, he brought his expertise to Giant Foods (Ahold) as their maintenance representative for the Philadelphia region. Shaun was known for his dedication, work ethic, and ability to fix just about anything, often combining his technical skills with a kind and helpful spirit.

Shaun's greatest gift, however, was his ability to make people feel valued. He was genuinely curious about others' lives and interests and rarely spoke about himself. A close friend described him best: "Shaun is the only guy that makes you feel better when you came to try and make him feel better." He possessed a wonderful sense of humor and an infectious laugh, approaching life with humility and joy.

Shaun shared 57 wonderful years with the love of his life, Bonnie (Miller) McNulty. Together, they built a family filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Shaun and Bonnie were members of Grace Baptist Church and attended Bible Baptist Church, where they found community and nurtured their faith.

Shaun adored his children, Sean (Christene McNulty) and Colleen (Bret Wagner), and found immense joy in his grandchildren: Morgan (Jackson Kennerly, partner), Cole (engaged to Paige Richards), Paige, and Emma. Shaun also had a deep affection for his extended family, including his siblings: Leonard Michael McNulty (preceded in death, married to Jeannie Vranges), Ann (married to Ed Hoffman), Kathi (married to Alan Weinstein), Patti (married to Jeff Malecki), and Erin (married to Jeff Orndorf), as well as his many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Shaun was preceded in death by his parents, Cresence Taylor McNulty (2022) and Leonard Charles McNulty (2003), and his brother Leonard Michael McNulty (2021).

A man of many talents, Shaun was happiest when working with his hands, whether fixing a broken appliance, crafting something for his family, or helping a friend in need. He loved life and never took himself too seriously, finding joy in laughter and sharing his kindness with everyone he met.

Shaun's legacy is one of service, love, and compassion. He touched countless lives with his warmth and humility and will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A celebration of Shaun's life will be held at 5 PM on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Bible Baptist Church, 201 W Vine St, Shiremanstown, PA 17011 with an hour of visitation prior. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Shaun's memory by performing an act of kindness or lending a helping hand to someone in need, just as he would have done.
