Shirley M. Wood

Shirley M. Wood, 86, of New Cumberland and formerly of Lancaster, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2019 in Colonial Park Care Center, Lower Paxton Twp.

She was a former employee of the Water Street Rescue Mission, Lancaster and loved doing jigsaw and word puzzles. But the most important thing to her was her faith and family.

Shirley was born in Radnor Twp., Delaware County, PA to the late Albert and Blanche (Clarke) McNelly.

She is survived by her children, William M. Wood of Little Britain, PA, Donald E. Wood of Nottingham, PA, Susan C. Rathkey of Brownstown, PA, Robert D. Wood of New Cumberland, PA, and Rebecca L. Swift of Lebanon, PA; a sister Betty Bryant of Sylacauga, AL; eleven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
