Shirley Mae Squire

Shirley Mae Squire, 79, of Mechanicsburg and formerly of Lemoyne, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2014 in her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was retired from the former Bell Atlantic Telephone Company, was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lemoyne and its Hummingbird Quilting Ministry, a Past President of the Lemoyne Civic Club and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Shirley was born in Lemoyne to the late Guy and Edith (Eppley) Kohler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Walter V. Kohler.
She is survived by her husband Oscar E. Squire with whom she recently celebrated sixty years of marriage with their family; her daughter Barbara L. Squire of New Cumberland; two sons, Michael E. and wife Barbara D. Squire of Mechanicsburg and Matthew R. and wife Beth Myers Squire of Washington D.C.; two brothers, George L. Kohler and Charles W. Kohler, both of New Cumberland; two grandchildren, Samuel Lucas Squire and Elizabeth Mae Squire; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, September 13, 2014 in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 500 Hummel Ave. Lemoyne, PA 17043. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services Saturday in the church. Private committal services will be held at the convenience of the family in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
