Skyler Montgomery
He was a cool kid. A gentle giant. A music lover who loved bluegrass, jam bands and The Grateful Dead. Music festivals every weekend in the summer. A guy that loved fishing and taught fly fishing to children. He was an umpire. He enjoyed football, baseball, hockey and the X Games. He was a welder. He was a hard worker. He loved his job and his co-workers. He was never negative. He was laid back. He was funny. He was the life of the party. He was a best friend to many. He was smart. He was loyal. He was humble. He was funny and made people laugh. He was always smiling. He loved his family. He was a great big brother. He bought cool things for his younger brother and sister. He loved a messy room. He loved his pets. He loved camping and music festivals. He loved long boarding. He was kind. He loved hiking. He was a great swimmer and loved the ocean. He collected knives. He cared more about memories than money. He was generous. He was always there to help. He never asked for anything in return. He never judged people. He truly liked people. He lived life every day. He lit up a room. He loved Nerds . . . the candy. His favorite color was forest green.
He loved his girlfriend, Katrina, that he met in kindergarten. She was the girl of his dreams. He was going to marry her someday. He loved her family. He had big plans with her.
He was full of love and so many people looked up to him. Literally. If you knew Skyler you know what we are all missing. If there is such a thing . . . he had too many friends but loved them all. He was everything and more. Steak tacos were his favorite. He never bought a lighter, he stole yours! He made moonshine. Real moonshine! He was an awesome skier. Ramrod at 4 years old. Gun barrel at 8. He was a true life cookie monster.
He loved to have fun with his friends. He loved to party. One night he took it up a notch. It didn't end well.

We have read every text, every email, every Facebook post and every card. We've cried over every one of them. He was loved by so many. Didn't think we had so many tears.

There will be a Celebration of Skyler's life at Gullifty's (downstairs) on Saturday 6/11 from 1:00pm - 5:00pm.
Prepare a eulogy if you'd like.
If you can, please wear a tie dyed or Grateful Dead shirt. That would have made him happy. He would have been wearing one!
