Steven Robert Schrantz

Steven Robert Schrantz, 45, of Marysville, died Saturday, December 12, 2020, at Penn State Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.

He had worked as a Corrections Officer at the State Corrections Institute, Camp Hill; an Army Veteran serving in Iraq as an air traffic controller; a member of VFW Post 7415, New Cumberland; a volunteer for the VA Medical Center; an established Country and Western song writer and an avid golfer and outdoorsman, including fishing.

Born on July 27, 1975, in Key West, FL, he was the son of Robert L. and Barbara A. (Glassic) Schrantz of New Cumberland.

In addition to his parents, surviving are his sons and daughter, Santana S. Meza of Katy, TX, Steven R. Schrantz Jr. of Lubbock, TX, and Emera S. Schrantz of Lubbock, TX, brothers and sister, Jeffrey M. Schrantz of New Cumberland, Jaymie A. Schrantz of Skippack, and Jennifer H. Schrantz of Lewisberry; a nephew, Jared T. Schrantz of New Cumberland; a niece, Valerie A. Schrantz of Lewisberry; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Graveside services will be held with military honors at 1 pm at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Cemetery.
Viewing will be held 6 – 8 PM Tuesday in Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.

The family requests no flowers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to PA Wounded Warriors.
