Susan P. Delaney (Sue/Susie), 75, of Camp Hill, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Holy Spirit Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late William J. and Mary (Curilla) Podlesnie.
Born and raised in Middletown, Sue attended Seven Sorrows grade school before graduating from Bishop McDevitt High School in 1967 and earning a degree from Immaculata College. She worked for the IRS before devoting her time to her family and to numerous charitable organizations, including the Junior League of Harrisburg and the Holy Spirit Auxiliary.
A beloved and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, in-law, and friend who cherished time with her loved ones, Sue could recall every detail of the wonderful trips and vacations that she meticulously planned. Everyone she met was drawn to her exuberant and genuine personality and she remained very close with so many people whom she befriended throughout her life.
Sue was truly one of a kind. While she was always determined, righteously standing her ground for what she believed in, she was the epitome of putting everyone else first with kindness and thoughtfulness, while always exuding creativity and class. She selflessly devoted her life to raising her two sons, of whom she was immensely proud, and was dedicated to the welfare of her parents and support of her husband. She would do anything for her family and friends, and she will be dearly missed.
Surviving Susan is her loving husband of 51 years, Daniel Peter Delaney; sons, Neil Daniel Delaney (wife, Catherine Gribben Delaney) of Newport Beach, CA, and John William Delaney (wife, Tracey Mager Delaney) of Nutley, NJ; and grandchildren, Leah Marielle Delaney, Vincent Charles Delaney, and Daniel Peter Delaney.
