Susan L. (Hershock) Pearson

Susan L. (Hershock) Pearson of New Cumberland, PA passed away on February 24, 2022 in Harrisburg, PA. She was born in York, PA on April 7, 1949 to the late John and Lois (Wiser) Hershock. She would remain there throughout her scholastic years, graduating from William Penn Senior High School.

Susan was a skilled crocheter and loved to be creative with her sewing machine, making everything from Christmas stockings to dresses for her daughters to wear. Due to health issues, she was not able to enjoy those hobbies in recent years, but she spent her free time enjoying puzzles, reading, and catching up on her favorite television shows. Susan was also a fan of classic movies, and made sure her daughters knew the greats of the silver screen.

Susan is survived by her daughters, Christina Dunmire (Michael) and Heather M. Keller (Christopher); her granddaughter, Rachel Dunmire; great-grandson, Marcus Hamor; step-brother, David Salapa (Ruth Dunnewold); sister-in-law, Phyllis Hershock; brother-in-law, Lloyd Persun; her nieces, Kristen, Amanda, Sarah, Margaret, and Hannah and nephew, Isaac.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Craig Hershock; her sister, Carla Persun; her step-mother Joyce L. Hershock; and her step-brother John Salapa.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
