Sydney K. Stoner Sr., 81, of Fairview Twp., Lewisberry, died Monday, April 01, 2019, at UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg Hospital.
He retired as the owner and farmer at the former Stonaire Farms. After retiring as a farmer, he worked for and retired from the U.S.P.S. as a Letter Carrier. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Penn State in Animal Husbandry. Born on October 30, 1937 in York Springs, Adams County, he was the son of the late Robert R. Stoner, M.D. and the late Grace E. (Flickinger) Stoner. He was also preceded in death by a son, Sydney K. "Skip" Stoner Jr.
Surviving are his wife of over 60 years, Janet (Jones) Stoner; two sons, Jay R. of Lewisberry and Glen A. (Susan) of Lewisberry; four grandchildren, Sarah, Derrick, Jerod and Nigel; three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 1 – 2 PM Friday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland followed immediately by a memorial service at 2 PM.
