T. Noretta Bingaman

T. Noretta Bingaman, 85, formerly of Camp Hill, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023 in Homeland Center, Harrisburg.

She was a retired Special Education Advisor with the Commonwealth of PA Department of Education, Harrisburg and a graduate of both Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove and University of Pittsburgh where she earned her Master’s in Education. Noretta was a true champion for education. She dedicated her entire career to ensuring great education for PA Kids. She built strong relationships with key colleagues that furthered this cause. Noretta was a master at knitting, an avid reader, loved to travel, and loved the beach, especially Ocean City, NJ and the Outer Banks.

Noretta was born in Harrisburg, PA, the daughter of the late Ira and Thelma (Law) Sheesley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson John McCord, and her son in law Jake Ferrell.

She is survived by her children, Dr. William E. Bingaman and his wife Kim, of Cleveland, OH, Lisa B. Ferrell, Esquire of Wake Forest, NC, and Norie S. Corcoran and her husband Earl of Harrisburg; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
