Terri Lynn Drummond, 55, of Lower Allen Twp., Mechanicsburg, passed peacefully Thursday, March 11, 2021, at home surrounded by her loved ones.
She was the Medical Educational Coordinator for UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg Hospital. But, first and foremost, she devoted herself to her husband and three children. Terri’s pride and joy was her puppy, Lily, or as she would call her, “Honeygirl.” She also loved her two grand dogs, Violet and Sadie. Terri lived her life serving others, even while fighting a difficult battle with breast cancer for 11 years. She was admired by many for her courage, strength, and bravery. Spending time with her family was just one of the many things she enjoyed doing. She loved to cook and bake for her family. She enjoyed hosting gatherings and welcoming everyone into her home. Terri’s love for the beach continued into her last week of life when she got to visit one last time.
Born on July 4, 1965, in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of Terry L. Smith (Deb) of Harrisburg and Judy Williamson Hess (Charlie) of Longs, SC.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Craig P. Drummond; sons, C. Tyler Drummond of Longs, SC, and Michael P. Drummond of Mechanicsburg; a daughter, Nicole L. Drummond (Jake J. Scott) of Mechanicsburg; sisters, Kellie A. Smith and Deb L. Smith, both of Longs, SC; mother-in-law Lorraine Drummond of New Cumberland; brother-in-law, M. Scott Drummond (Sandy) of New Cumberland; sisters-in-law, Denise Danilowicz and Jill Cardile (Sal), both of New Cumberland; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Ruth and Franklin Peters, Mildred and Thomas Smith; father-in-law Hank Drummond.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, in St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland, with the Rev. William Barbee as Celebrant.
The family would like to thank all of our family, friends, doctors, and nurses that helped support our family throughout Terri’s fight. Thank you to Andrews & Patel, UPMC Pinnacle, and Hospice of Central PA.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, (https://www.cancer.org) or to Hospice of Central PA, (https://hospiceofcentralpa.org).
