Terry L. Gastrock

Terry L. Gastrock, 87, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Messiah Lifeways, Mechanicsburg. Terry was born on April 16, 1937, the son of the late Benjamin and Dorothy (Ream) Gastrock. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Gail (Mummert) Gastrock (dcd. 2023).

He was a 1955 graduate of William Penn High School, Harrisburg, and he served in the Navy Reserve for eight years. He would retire after 42 years as a Facilities & Fiber Optics Designer with Verizon (formerly, Bell Telephone). He was a member of the Blue Lodge Perseverance #21, Harrisburg, for over 60 years. He and Gail both retired in 1995 and moved to Punta Gorda, FL, where they enjoyed 14 years of sunny weather before moving back to Mechanicsburg, PA, in 2010.

Surviving is his daughter, Karen Rupnik (husband, Dave) of Mechanicsburg, PA; his son, Keith Gastrock (wife, Michelle) of Mechanicsville, VA; four grandchildren, Matt Rupnik (wife Danielle Rupnik) of NJ, Nicole Rupnik of CO, Kaitlin Gastrock of VA and Ben Gastrock (wife, Kierstan Gastrock) of VA; and a great-granddaughter, Oakleigh.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Camp Hill, from 10AM until a memorial service begins at 11AM in the church.
