The Rev. Barbara Sue Berg, 63, of Fairview Twp., Lewisberry, passed away unexpectedly from COVID on Sunday, February 21, 2021, at the Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center.

Born on July 23, 1957, in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of Naomi J. (Mitchell) Arnold of Lewisberry and the late Basil D. Arnold. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Stephanie K. and Doyle R. Anderson of Lewisberry; a niece and nephew, Jennifer M. and husband, Robert J. Hugar, Jeremy R. and wife, Meredith V. Anderson; two great nieces and a great nephew, Samantha, Rebekah and Elijah.

Barb was a 1975 graduate of Red Land High School. She was an ordained United Methodist Minister having served congregations sharing the love of Jesus Christ throughout South Central Pennsylvania for over 30 years. During her ministry, Barb was involved with running a food bank at her Bedford County parish. Family meant more than anything to her, and she would do anything for them. Barely a day went by that she didn’t spend with her sister painting or putting puzzles together. Barb also enjoyed visiting with friends, reading, and doing decorating projects. She attended Trinity United Methodist Church of New Cumberland, PA.

Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, March 5th in Cross Roads Cemetery, Fairview Twp. with the Rev. Arun Andrews officiating. Funeral arrangements have been provided by Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc.
