Thelma F. “Nana” Culhane, 89, of New Cumberland, Fairview Twp. died Sunday, January 3, 2021 at her home surrounded by family.
She was the retired co-owner/operator of Culhane’s Steak House. She was a member of St. Theresa Parish, D.A.V. Chapter 50, and American Legion Post 974, New Cumberland. She enjoyed sewing, her family, flowers, and was a wonderful gardener.
She was born January 21, 1931 in Newberry Twp. to the late William Clarence and Mary Viola (Krone) Conley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard F. Culhane, Jr.; sons, James and William Quesenberry; and sisters and brothers Velma Willwert, Mary Bupp, John Conley, Bill Conley, and Ronnie Conley.
She is survived by her son, Richard F. Culhane, III (Stacey) of Lewisberry; daughters, Mariellen M. Cassel (Charles) of York Haven and Deborah D. Kozinski (Bernard) of Mount Union; brothers Robert H. Conley of Etters and Herman E. Conley of York Haven; sister, Dorothy Douden of New Cumberland; daughter-in-laws, Sandy and Carrie Ann Quesenberry; fifteen grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 5 to 7pm Sunday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. For the visitation at the funeral home, please remember that in order to adhere to state mandates, only 25 individuals will be permitted to be in the funeral home at one time, so guests will be encouraged to pay their respects to the family, view, and proceed out of the funeral home in a timely fashion in order to allow all who wish to attend an opportunity to do so.
Proper mask wearing and social distancing is required at all times.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Monday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland. Committal will take place at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to St. Theresa Parish, 1300 Bridge Street, New Cumberland, PA 17070.
