Theresa H. Yob

Theresa H. Yob, 87, of New Cumberland died Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Select Specialty on the Fifth floor of Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.
She retired as a Vision Rehabilitation Therapist from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from University of Detroit and Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Teaching of the Visually Impaired from Western Michigan University. She was a member of St. Theresa Parish, New Cumberland, the local chapter of the PA Council of the Blind and the blind bowling league.
She was born July 4, 1927 in Detroit to the late Frank and Erna “Muenchow” Teskey. She was also preceded in death by her son and daughter; David J. and Rebecca J. Yob, and brother and sister; Francis “Uncle Francie” Teskey and Cecelia Fleischman.
She is survived by her husband Michael “Mike” J. Riley; children; Mary Jo Griffin of Midland, MI, Carl M. Yob of Thonotosassa, FL, Theresa Ann Yob of Millbrae, CA, Joseph C. Yob, Jr. of Thonotosassa, FL, Susan M. Yob of Santa Cruz, CA, Jonathan A. Yob of Tampa, FL, Judith A. Yob of Palo Alto, CA, Paula Y. Kerns of Santa Rosa, CA; two sisters; Margaret Mary “Mimi” Hunt of Rochester Hills, MI and Erna Stebbins of Troy, MI; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at 1pm followed by Mass of Christian Celebration at 2pm Friday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Bridge Street, New Cumberland.
