Theresa M. “Terri” (Slane) Denison, 85, of Camp Hill, passed away early on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023 at her home. Born on December 12, 1937 in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late James W. and Bambina (Marks) Slane. She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. “Jim” Denison in 2001.
Born and raised in Schuylkill County, Terri was a 1955 graduate of Minersville High School. After graduation, Terri moved to Camp Hill where she remained until her death. She spent her entire working career with Bell Telephone of Pennsylvania, retiring as an administrative assistant. She and her late husband, Jim, were longtime and active members of Trinity Lutheran Church, Camp Hill, where Terri was also a part of the Women of Trinity. She belonged to the Steadfast Chapter OES #479, Mechanicsburg, as well as the Camp Hill Women’s Club, Hummel Club, and Bell Telephone Pioneers, MI. She was outgoing throughout her life and surrounded herself with many good friends. Terri had a mind of her own and did things her way throughout her life. She loved to travel, and after retirement occupied much of her time with volunteer work. Her strong faith in God was evident in the way she treated others; she cherished the relationships held with so many close friends and absolutely relished in being an aunt to her beloved nieces and nephews.
Surviving Terri are her nieces and nephew, Debra Cantor (Scott) of Mechanicsburg, Dianne Platt (David), Elaine Dix (Jeff), Joan Glenn, and Jim Fisher (Ellen), all of New Jersey; many other nieces, nephews, and extended family members, including great-nieces and nephews. Terri also leaves behind a strong support system of numerous friends whom she considered her family.
A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Camp Hill, with a public viewing from 10AM until services begin in the church. Interment will immediately follow in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution in Terri’s name to either: Trinity Lutheran Church, Camp Hill, 2000 Chestnut Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011, or Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
