Thomas A. Hooper, Jr.

Thomas A. Hooper, 71, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021, in Harrisburg, PA, at Homeland Center. Tom was born on April 20, 1950, in Harrisburg, PA, to Thomas and Bess Hooper. He graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School in 1968. He married Mary Beth (Moerschbacher) Hooper in 1977, and they raised one son, Matthew.

Tom worked for over 35 years for the State of Pennsylvania in the Department of Revenue. During his life, he served as a volunteer firefighter at the Camp Hill Volunteer Fire Department and worked as a referee for PIAA football. He also aided his wife in operating several family-owned small businesses.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Sr., his mother, Bess (Reilley), and his wife, Mary Beth Hooper. He is survived by his son, Matthew, and his wife, Alison.

The family will hold a Catholic Mass on December 23, 2021, in New Cumberland, PA, followed by a graveside service. For more details, please email the family at HooperFamily111@gmail.com.
