Thomas M. Burke

Thomas M. Burke, 82, of New Cumberland, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023, in his residence.

He was a retired purchasing/shipping agent with Atlas Roofing Corporation, Camp Hill, and a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School.  Tom was a member of St. Theresa of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church, New Cumberland where he sang for more than 50 years in the church choir.  He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed traveling with his family and grilling. Family always came first for Tom, and he loved each of them dearly, especially his wife of more than 59 years, Ann (Smith) Burke.

Tom was born in Pottsville, Schuylkill County, PA, the son of the late Cleon and Anna (Kotch) Burke.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Joan Burke.

In addition to his wife Ann, he is survived by two sons, Michael T. Burke and wife Jennifer of New Cumberland; Daniel J. Burke of New Cumberland; and two grandsons, Joseph and Matthew Burke.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 19, 2023, in St. Theresa of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church, 1300 Bridge St., New Cumberland, PA 17070 with the Rev. Matthew Cannon as Celebrant.  Viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland.  Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, West Hanover Twp., PA.
