Thomas Joseph Gray

Thomas Joseph Gray, 79, of New Cumberland, passed away Friday, January 8, 2016 in the Bridges at Bent Creek, Silver Spring Twp.

He was a retired Computer Analysts Supervisor for the former Navy Ships Parts Control Center, Hampden Twp. and a Korean War Navy veteran. He was a graduate of Catholic High School (Bishop McDevitt) class of 1954, Harrisburg and Elizabethtown College class of 1963. Tom was a member of VFW Post 7415, New Cumberland, was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball and Notre Dame Football fan, coached many years at St. Theresa CYO Basketball and New Cumberland Youth Baseball, and was a softball player for several teams in the area including Subway Café.

Tom was born in Harrisburg to the late Paul and Dorothy (Storm) Gray.

He is survived by his wife, Mary K. (Young) Gray; his children, Sharon L. Meredith of Exeter, NH, Debra Marie Barbush of Camp Hill, Thomas R. Gray of New Cumberland and Lori A. Himes of Camp Hill; two brothers, Ronald Gray of Bluffton, SC and Paul Gray of Yarmouth Port, MA; three grandchildren, Paul W. Barbush, Lauren I. Barbush and Melissa K. Himes; two great grandchildren, Kaylee Ann Himes and Jackson R. Dietz; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland with the Rev. Carl Ford Peterson officiating. Viewing will be one hour prior to service time in the funeral home. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
