Thomas L. O’Leary, 73, of Lower Allen Twp., Camp Hill, PA, passed away Tuesday, October 27th, 2015, at UPMC, Cranberry Twp, PA.
Tom was a retired salesman for multiple clothing companies. He was a graduate of Bellefonte Area High School and Penn State University. Tom was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #143, New Cumberland, PA. He had a constant appreciation for every military service member and was an avid reader, with special interest in World War II history. Tom loved to make people smile, looked for the best in people, made friends wherever he went, and was quick to help anyone in need. He enjoyed playing ball, playing cards, and spending time having conversations with family and friends. Each fall, he looked forward to celebrating Halloween dressed as “the trash can man”—handing out candy and visiting with neighborhood families and friends. Tom was a loyal fan of Penn State Football, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Pittsburgh Penguins. He was proud of his family and was most passionate about watching his grandchildren participate in all their sporting events. Tom will be missed and remembered by many.
Born on May 19th, 1942 in Bellefonte, PA, he was the son of the late John W. and Loretta G. (Cox) O’Leary and was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert J. O’Leary.
