Thomas Lee Reider, Jr.

Thomas Lee Reider, Jr., 66, formerly of Steelton passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022 in UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg Hospital.

He was a limousine driver for approximately 10 years and a retired sales representative with Progressive Dyes, New Kingston. Tom served in the US Navy from 1972-1976. When he left the military, he was a boiler technician, 3rd class petty officer. He was stationed on USS Elmer Montgomery FF1082, Norfolk, VA

Tom was born in Harrisburg, the son of the late Thomas Lee Reider, Sr. and Gertrude (Osawakowski) Reider of Steelton.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, Jamie Reider (Kelly) of Elizabethtown, Justin Reider (Celeste) of Harrisburg and Kristin Wolf (Ralph) of Hummelstown; siblings, Patricia Wintergrass (Paul) of Steelton and brother William Reider (Karen) of New Cumberland; and four grandchildren, Autumn, William, Samantha and Elizabeth.

Tom had a passion for boating. His boats were named “The Wizard of Oz“ and “Kristin“. His favorite spot on the bay was Tilman island, MD.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family with military honors at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
