Vance E. "Wolfie" Wolfe, Sr.

Vance E. “Wolfie” Wolfe, Sr., 80, of Lisburn, Mechanicsburg, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016 in Pinnacle Hospital, Harrisburg.

He was a retired Senior Maintenance Technician with Iceland Seafood Corporation, Lower Allen Twp.; a Korean War USMC Reservist and a 1953 graduate of Northern High School, Dillsburg. He was an avid fisherman who collected and restored hundreds of fishing rods. Wolfie loved to boat, fish and attend car shows with his son. He also enjoyed block shoots and going camping. Additionally, he had a love for hunting, bowling, motorcycle riding and the Philadelphia Eagles.

Wolfie was born in Monaghan Twp., York County to the late Albert and Catherine (Eshenbaugh) Wolfe.

He was the widower of Patricia (Welch) Wolfe and is survived by his children, Vickie A. Finney of Lykens, Vance E. Wolfe, Jr. of Linglestown, Mary Anderson of Etters, Diane Reeser of York Haven and Tammy M. Moll of Etters; two sisters, Mary Friedline of Dover, DE and Bettyjo Hanshaw of Dillsburg; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 in Fairview Bethel Church of God, 800 Old Forge Rd. New Cumberland, PA 17070 with Pastor Dan Masshardt officiating. Viewings will be Monday evening from 5 – 7 pm in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland and again Tuesday morning from 10 am until time of service.
Entombment will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
