Virginia Lee Emery

Virginia Lee Emery, a beloved sister, aunt, and cherished member of her community, passed away on January 2, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on November 7, 1941, in Harrisburg, PA, to the late James and Myrtle (Phillips) Weller. She was a proud graduate of West Shore High School, Class of 1959, and dedicated 59 wonderful years of marriage to her late husband, Terrance Emery.

Virginia will be remembered for her warm spirit and strong involvement in the community. In her professional life, she served as a teller at Susquehanna Valley Credit Union and an administrative assistant at Sears & Robuck. In her personal life, she was an active member of Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she participated in the choir and altar guild, she also held the position of past president of the women's group. Her dedication to fellowship extended to her time spent with the Order of the Eastern Star, Steadfast Chapter 479 in Camp Hill, PA.

A loving aunt, Virginia is survived by her nephews, David S. (Lynette) Weller, Donald (Amy), and Dwayne (Erica); 6 great nieces and nephews, Jake, Sara, David, Alex, Katie, and Zoey. She found happiness in many ways, including RV camping and spending time in Chincoteague with her beloved Zoey and David Jr. Whether she was reading a book, whipping up a delicious meal, or enjoying gatherings at the Dillsburg Senior Center and the Breakfast Club at Route 74 Diner, Virginia's zest for life was infectious and will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death in addition to her parents by her husband, Terrance Emery, and two brothers, Donald and James Weller. 

Services will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. Family and friends are invited to a viewing beginning at 10:30 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 AM. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Mt. Zion Hilltop Cemetery at 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution is encouraged to Dillsburg Senior Center, 1 N 2nd St, Dillsburg, PA 17019.
