Walter F. Rospendowski

Walter F. Rospendowski, 80, of Silver Spring Twp., Mechanicsburg, passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in his residence.

He was a retired sales representative for Harrisburg Paper Company; a graduate of Eastwood High School, Syracuse, NY; attended Gettysburg College; graduated from Elizabethtown College; and was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mechanicsburg.

Walter was born in Syracuse, NY to the late Walter and Louise (Decker) Rospendowski.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Cynthia (Orner) Rospendowski; a son W. Dean Rospendowski and wife Kimberly of Dandridge, TN; a brother Gregory K. Rospendowski and wife Donna of Syracuse, NY; a sister Joan L. Barnard and husband Richard of Tuscarora, NY; and two grandchildren, Kori Berriman and Alexandria Lee; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 in his church, 130 Nittany Dr. Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 with the Rev. Alex R. Martini officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 9:30 to 11 am Wednesday in the church and continue during a luncheon to be held immediately after the service. Committal services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
